ADHD & Acupuncture

As with many studies on acupuncture, it is a challenge to place these treatments in an easy peg hole that can be evaluated. In a review of 114 studies, 3 randomized control trials were evaluated in the effects of acupuncture with those diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. They found that real acupuncture in combination with behavioral therapy showed better results than sham "fake" acupuncture. Another study that was analyzed demonstrated that auricular (ear) acupuncture was more effective than conventional drugs.
